The Luppinos | COVID Wedding Series 4

Sarah & Anthony decided to get married on April 19, 2020 due to Covid-19 instead of their original wedding date May 9. 2020. The day was so beautiful and I feel blessed to have had their wedding.

Sarah quickly became a very close friend. Her and I graduate this month from the same college program. There are seven of us in this cohort, Sarah and I hit it off so well and will continue to be friends. Their wedding day was so incredible. I just felt like I was attending it honestly. This is exactly what I wanted my weddings to be like when I thought of “ideal wedding”. My dream totally did not include all of the tears, heartbreak and stress that reality did due to life and the pandemic.

However, I know deep down this was how God intended it to be. The day started out with Sarah and Anthony watching church together and then Anthony dropping her off at the venue. Sarah’s sister, Rachel, had to sew a hole back together in Cody (their close friend and officiant’s) pants. Please tell me what other high schoolers know how to sew nowadays!! Rachel also sewed everyone face masks and yes I took one home. It’s already come in handy a time or two.

One of her closest friends, Cody’s wife, Ashlee helped Sarah get ready and did such an incredible job at decorating the entire place with all of the decor Sarah had already purchased for their May 9 wedding.

One of Anthony’s closest friends Cory lead worship during their ceremony and also played and sung the song to their first dance.

This sounds like an informative blog on how to do an elopement with only the people closest too you… it just went so smoothly! There were so few people that literally everyone who attended gave a speech. They hinted for me to do one also. I really wanted to with how close Sarah and I have become, but I would have broken into tears sad she’s moving so I decided to give a smile and a wink and use my cameras as an excuse.

Sarah & Anthony started a Facebook live video so all of their wedding guests could watch the ceremony happen. Cory came up with the idea of having their wedding guests watch from their vehicles in the parking lot so when Sarah and Anthony walked outside they could be welcome by their wedding guests still (from a distance of course. This to me was the most special part of the day. I cried like a baby while trying to document this. It was so special. Y’all should have heard the horns honking and everyone screaming when they walked out. It felt like we were in a real life movie. Then the guests paraded out waving and congratulating from their cars.

Sarah, Anthony and I later went back to Downtown Lynn Haven where Anthony proposed to Sarah at to do some wedding portraits there.

Anthony gifted Sarah a planner with sticky notes on every day covering something he wrote for her. He gifted this to her early in their engagement before he moved to Texas for school. Saturdays are dad jokes and Sarah and Anthony opened May 9th’s dad joke together on the bench right in front of where Anthony proposed.

Then we headed to the location we had their first sunrise session at and were able to get a handful of shots before the sun went down all the way. I haven’t shot that close to dark in a while but it was so dreamy and fun to do again.

I’d say it was a picture perfect day.

Love you Sarah & Amp, I can’t wait to visit y’all in Texas!! Live it up until I get there so we have lots to catch up on! Congratulations.
