Sweet Savannah Proposal

Almost two months ago I had the privilege of photographing Alex + Jayson as boyfriend and girlfriend. It wasn’t too long after Jayson called saying he wanted to propose to Alex when they visit Savannah, GA and wants me to photograph it. So what do I say? HECK YES!

Alex thought they were just taking a mini vacation with another couple. Little did she know Jayson planned for both of their families to drive up Saturday and hide out to watch the proposal.

Jayson planned every detail so well!! Then the weather changed and it showed rain for Saturday. Jayson, Alaina (Alex’s friend there) and I were all looking for backup options on locations with cover. There wasn’t really a location that stuck out as “Alex” so we just hoped for the best and Jayson planned to propose at Forsyth Park rain or shine.

Luckily, Jesus was on our side (as always!!) and the weather worked out PERFECT! Her and Alaina went “shopping” while Jayson and Alaina’s husband, Jhonatan, met up with me to figure out details before the girls met them. Together, we came up with a game plan & they executed it perfectly!!! Alex was shocked he proposed when he did, and she was totally taken away when she realized their families were there the whole time!

Being a part of such a meaningful moment like this is the whole reason I do photography!!! The next morning we met up again and did their engagement session at Wormsloe Park before we all hit the road to come home.
