"Where We Met" Elopement | Est. 7.24.18

On Tuesday, July 24, 2018 Madison and Tanner became one.

Madison + Tanner met in Historic St. Andrews about two and a half years ago by the swings at the marina. Shortly after, they began dating and had a long distance relationship for a year and a half, seeing each other about once a month. After graduating high school, Madison moved to Indiana to go to school and to be with Tanner. It wasn’t long after that Tanner proposed and they began planning an elopement style wedding right where they met.

St. Andrews is their favorite spot and it was so special photographing their wedding where they first met.

Water and cool off breaks are a must during summer weddings, I always want my couples to be comfortable and never get dehydrated or hot and sweaty during portraits. We decided to head to Amavida to get some water, and the two of them were too cute waiting in line, I couldn’t pass up a genuine opportunity to capture such authenticity!

I wouldn’t be telling the truth if I were to say I didn’t tear up during their friend’s prayer for their marriage at the start of the ceremony.

Tanner and Madison’s wedding was everything but traditional! From Madison’s vintage dress from the 80’s, to being with each other before the ceremony without a first look and walking down the aisle together (& forgetting her bouquet), Madison and Tanner were able to have a stress-free day surrounded by loved ones celebrating their beautiful love for one another!

After their ceremony we went walking down St. Andrews together. While Josh & I were waiting on traffic before crossing the road that Madison & Tanner already crossed, I seen the two of them dancing between two cars that were driving by. By time the traffic was gone, they had stopped dancing.

So what do I do? Make them dance again. To the live music playing from some store/restaurant along the strip.

It was such a beautiful moment that I got to be a part of and capture for their kids to one day see

So here’s to a new life! I hope the two of them never lose their young and Godly love, always pursue their relationships with God first, and never stop making each other smile!

Congratulations Tanner + Madison!
