Makayla and Brents Engagement | 02.28.21

Makayla and Brent.
For those who don’t know me, Brent is my big brother, and Makayla is one of my best friends that I’ve held close to my heart since high school.
This session was by far one of the most sentimental sessions I’ve ever done. It really opened up the beginning emotions of how excited I was that my big brother was not only becoming a husband, but his bride, my soon to be sis-in-law, was one of my closest friends.
This session was a wedding package that included their engagement session with 4 outfit changes, so throughout this gallery you’ll see their dress go from cute and casual to fancy and formal (and WOW do they seriously kill it with style!)

Makayla is extra artsy, she created this super cute jacket all on her own!
I had just recently gotten married and changed my maiden name to my husbands, so seeing my maiden name get passed onto someone I love so much truly consumed my heart with so much warmth.

This CMC couple seriously had such a great connection. We all worked at the same place for many years, but it wasn’t until after we all were in new jobs that Brent and Makayla began talking as a couple. It was something that none of us saw coming, yet it became so natural. After a year of dating they got engaged!

Back up a few years after they started dating, Josh and I were wedding planning and we found a venue that we fell involve with, South Eden, in Thomasville, GA, but was ultimately not within our budget. When Makayla was looking for a unique location for their engagement session, South Eden was the perfect venue for them!

We took a day trip and my dad’s golf cart and drove all around the venue for 2 hours capturing their engagement session at all different locations.

The day before their session Brent got so sunburnt he was in a lot of pain during the shoot, so we took it lightly for posing, but that didn’t put a dent in the beauty of this gallery!

A lot of people naturally assume that sessions with people close to the photographer ends up being more natural and comfortable, but that’s not always the case. B & M were phenomenal during our shoot, Mak is a true beauty infront of the camera and their love for one another really showed out in this session.
